The SAT reading test looks for a student's ability to find the argument level of comprehension and filter out the wrong answers that wander away from the argument or lure students into fixating on the secondary detail level, which the test does not focus upon. My lessons teach students where to find the argument, and therefore how to avoid the pitfalls. In the process, students will learn how to go through each reading much more rapidly, and therefore answer more questions in the time available.
