When our son started to fail his algebra 2 class we turned to WyzAnt to find a math tutor. I interviewed 4 tutors and asked 2 of them to come for a paid session with my son. Brenda was available next day. She spent 1.5 hrs with him and we saw an immediate improvement in his score from 57 to 81. We asked our son for feedback between two tutors and he said that he would like to continue working with Brenda. Brenda has been meeting with him since then once a week. She is responsive and gets back to you right away by phone or email. Brenda is very pleasant to work with, always smiling and laughing, which puts kids at ease. During her sessions I can hear my son asking clarifying questions, he is engaged and focused. My son's grades improved this semester considerably and we are very grateful to Brenda for her work.

"Spanish Medical Interpreter and Translator tutoring Spanish "
My dedication to the Spanish language began in high school when I first received formal training in it. Shortly thereafter I went on to earn my BA in Spanish, spending my junior year abroad (I would highly recommend living abroad to assist you in becoming fluent!) in Seville, Spain. I earned the Madie W. Barrett Scholarship for Excellence in Spanish from the then Plymouth State College, now Plymouth State University. I then studied at Miami University and lived for a summer in México, stud... ... More
Nearing the end of the school year, it became pretty clear that my daughter Ashley wasn't going to get her grade in (9th grade) Geometry up to an acceptable level. She had been placed in an advanced geometry level class, and it became obvious that the level was too advanced for her. We began to realize that she was not going to raise the grade on her own. But at this point in the semester (about 2 1/2 weeks to go), there was no chance at changing to a different level. Her grade was at a "D" with 2 1/2 weeks left (Pelham NH schools send weekly emails with current class grade levels). We contacted Danielle, and she accommodated Ashley's schedule very quickly. Ashley was very comfortable with Danielle. It is not easy to jump into the middle of a student's studies and quickly understand the course material, and understand the student's needs. But Danielle excelled in both areas. She not only taught her the course material, but also taught her study techniques and practices that can be applied to other classes. Ashley mentioned that she approached some topics in ways that were slightly different than her teacher, and were easier to understand. Danielle found methods that opened up Ashley's understanding of the material. In the final exam, she finished with the highest grade in the class. She was quite proud of herself, and seeing your child feel good about her accomplishments in school - there is no better feeling as a parent. She ended up with a final grade of "C", which is all that we could have hoped for in such a short period of time. It felt like we solved a problem and got out of it okay. I wish I had started training with Danielle earlier, I could not be more sure that her grade would have been much higher. Don't wait to contact Danielle if you see problems in your child's grade, it is clear to me that the earlier you start the tutoring, the better. I highly recommend this tutor.
