I speak fluently, read and write three other languages besides English: Ukrainian, Polish and Spanish. In the 1990s I was grandfathered in the tutoring program at Dwight Elementary school. I taught Ukrainian and Polish speaking children English comprehension and the after school program and found it very rewarding for the six years that I worked in the school system, receiving awards for the after school program and for tutoring. I love teaching students K-12 with mild to moderate learning differences, as well as highly sensitive students. I can work with ADHD, non-verbal learning difference, autism spectrum, dyslexia, as well as students who struggle in particular areas, be it math, history, English, or Science. I was certified in 2013 and 2016 with TEFL through SAFEA and the International TEFL Academy. During college, I focused on calculus and chemistry, while also being a TA for the computer science department. Between 2013-2014, I spent a year teaching English in China, as well.
