Mark although extremely knowledgeable can be kind of intimidating. It would be more helpful if he was more instructional. Many times he assumes that the student has certain information which they may or may not have. I think he needs to assume that the student knows less rather than more. He is extremely nice and accommodating.

He is courteous, punctual, importantly has great command of the English Writing. Peter H. is a great tutor. He teaches my son very well. My son is in high school tells me that Mr. H. is a tough tutor as well- as he grades his work very hard. I like it how he tries to make my son to improve his writing skill, so he is well prepared for college. He is well-versed in literature as well. Overall, I think Mr. H. is a great tutor.

It took a week or two to get things going so Steven could review her past PSAT results as well as her SAT Prep assignments in order to find her weaknesses. Fortunately, our SAT class was canceled at the last possible moment which put me on the hunt for help. I wish we had found Wyzant sooner which allowed us to get her in home one on one tutoring instead of a classroom. Steven is very knowledgeable and was able to produce quite a few, "Oh, now I get it moments." I highly recommend Steven as a tutor. He comes highly qualified and has the ability to explain things in different ways. My daughter takes the SAT's this week and one more time in the fall. I think she has more confidence now. We may need a brush up prior to the next SAT. I hope he has availability at that time as he is the one that I would call. He's really quiet too but that had no effect on his teaching.

Algebra II is often difficult for students because they have trouble seeing the link between the equations (which are abstract) and the real world. I try to bridge the gap to show how the math represents the real world and also to look at alternatives in teaching and visualizing the key concepts. ... More

Algebra made EASY! Strong academic support from a friendly tutor who teaches the way you learn best. I provide simple to understand instruction, guided practice until you tell me that you've got it. Don't struggle, get help from a teacher who cares about how you learn, not just what you learn. With algebra, so many teachers just are about getting the problem done right and their way. When you work with me, I show you how to get the math problems done right; but, I do it according to your learning style. ... More
