I've taught for over 20 years since attending Berklee College of Music in Boston. I've been in bands (Southern Steel, Branches) that have opened concerts for national acts for over 20 years. We've been the opening act for Marshall Tucker, The Outlaws, The Tubes, Dickey Betts, Blackfoot, Mountain, and Foghat. Say you're tiling your deck, and you want to create a simple design with two different colors of tile: A large sea-blue square on a field of a terracotta red. The problem is, though both types are perfect squares, the blue tiles for the center are larger than the red tiles. And the deck, well it's rectangular! So how many packages of each type of tile do you need to complete the project? You could buy more than you need and lose money selling unused supplies back to Home Depot or Lowes.
