Debbie has worked with our older son studying for the GMAT and younger son for the PSAT. She has developed specific plans to help our sons understand each test. She also scheduled lesson times that fit perfectly with our sons' schedules. Our older son was very satisfied with the results of his verbal score, and attributes his results to Debbie's help. We highly recommend Debbie.

My daughter takes honors physics and is struggling even though she is really good in math and did very well with other AP science courses. We tried a handful of tutors and none were a good match for her. Dan proved to be the tutor that she really could relate to. Dan corresponded prior to the lessons with us to get the syllabus and detailed information on what was being covered in class and came fully prepared. He explained concepts thoroughly and very patiently and had her solve a variety of problems to ensure she had grasped them well. I would highly recommend Daniel to anyone who is looking for a tutor that can tailor his work to your needs and is patient and very knowledgeable.

I teach all levels of Biology, including AP Biology (i.e. college Bio taught in high school).
For AP Biology sessions prior to Spring Break, I concentrate on concepts, using 2 modes of study:
1. acquisition (mostly through reading of the AP text while I pose strategic questions)
2. quality-check of study (mostly through answering multiple choice questions using my "honesty method" and answering interactive questions in a study guide)
During Spring Break, and until the AP Exam, I concentrate on the Essay and practicing strategies for answering Multiple Choice questions. ... More
Dorothy was very punctual, and actually showed up 15 minutes early for the tutoring lesson. She was very patient, communicated well, was professional, and her expertise on the chemistry subject material was very impressive. Also, her schedule was flexible regarding setting up the tutoring lesson. I would definitely recommend her if you are considering a tutor for your child.

"Mrs G the chemistry or physics tutor"
I am an experienced high school teacher that has spent her entire educational career in one place. And I love it.
Teaching is a second career for me. I came to teaching in 1999, specifically to teach chemistry and physics because I had a wonderful high school teacher who not only taught me chemistry, but also encouraged me to think for myself. He encouraged a girl in the early 1980s to study science, which was still a relatively rare occurrence. I just want to give back a little of what he ... ... More
