Peter was an excellent tutor. I had him help me prepare for the SAT. He showed me all the tricks there are to get the highest score possible. It took a few tries to set up an appointment with him unfortunately. Overall, I would give him four out of five stars, he is very nice and tolerant, but it is difficult to schedule appointments with him.

"Top-Tier SAT/ACT | GRE/GMAT | SSAT/ISEE"

I have been a full-time tutor for about 2 years now, almost exclusively focused on standardized test prep. In many ways the ISEE and SSAT are miniaturized versions of the ACT and SAT, which were the first two tests I taught. While the material on the ISEE is more age-appropriate for the students taking the test, many of the strategies for quantitative reasoning, verbal reasoning, and reading comprehension are the same. Even scores in the Mathematics Achievement section can be improved by adopting test-taking strategies that students will use again when they take the SAT and/or ACT, as well as ... More

My goal is to find the best admissions approach for each student, give key feedback on essays and application materials, conduct mock-interviews (... ... More

I had a great experience with John. He actually explained every line to me in Python, and seemed to know what he was doing. He is amazingly patient as well, and a cat lover, which is a bonus. He is also from Harvard, which is a plus.

"Stanford Engineer For CS, Coding Interviews, SATs/ACTs, college apps"

Hello parents and students, My name is Simon and I am a software engineer at Peloton Cycle (and have previously worked at places like LinkedIn, Bloomberg, and Palantir). I tutor because I enjoy simplifying complex concepts and I love seeing the "aha!" moment when a student makes a breakthrough in understanding a new difficult concept. Too often, we tell ourselves that we're "not math people" or "aren't engineers" or "aren't smart enough" and I enjoy challenging those negative ideas. I prima... ... More
