I met with Matthew a lot in preparation for the GRE, and he definitely helped me brush up on my math skills, verbal strategies, and writing technique. He was very patient, especially on my off days, when I wasn't in the mood for GRE. I improved my GRE score into the range I was hoping for. He's great about figuring out the best way that you learn and working with you in that way. He's also very encouraging and confident in you. If God forbid, I have to take any other test I would refer back to Matthew. He also is easy to make your schedule with and any changes that need to be changed he's very responsive and quick!

In college, I took several statistics courses from basic to advanced and got As in all of them. If you are planning to take an introductory course in statistics or quantitative reasoning, I can help you get a head start and make sure you don't fall behind as the class progresses. Because of the cumulative nature of statistics, I work from the basics to progressively more advanced statistics. For best results, I recommend that tutoring sessions begin no later than the first week or two of your class. ... More
I appreciate the effort to evaluate my knowledge since I have never had formal instruction. I also appreciate the documentation for rules concerning the passe compose. I look forward to the next lesson to strengthen this as well as the rules for adjectives. As you have seen this is a weakness that I have.

"Experienced French Tutor from Paris: All level + AP, SAT and Praxis"
Having taught French to students from 5 years old to adults, beginners to advanced, I use a lot of different methods and I like mixing oral and written expression, as well as oral and reading comprehension. French grammar can be a challenge for students, but I love explaining it, from past tenses to subjunctive, from pronouns to partitives!
Whether you love the language or you struggle with it, my goal is to keep the lesson as fun as possible and make you comfortable, in class, at work or during your trip!
Kenko is a wonderful tutor - diligent, kind, patient, and utterly dependable. Though highly proficient in English, she is also very good at explaining things (e.g., new words) in Japanese - even though it would be easier (though not necessarily better for the student) to just say the English word. She also tries to incorporate subject matter that her student will find interesting (after getting to know them better). Finally, she's pretty funny - so you may find that a session goes by quite quickly and pleasantly. Highly recommend her services!

I loathe statistics on any level, therefore, I dreaded going into tutoring sessions on this subject. Dr. Z is VERY patient and his experience allows him to word and reword problems "until" I understand. He ensures that I have complete understanding and he calms all of my fears and trepidations. I actually left my third session saying, "I like this stuff!" He's a true gem of a tutor and a pleasure to work with! I'd recommend him to anyone!
