"Junior High school & High School Algebra Tutor, "
Hi everyone, Algebra has been my favorite math subject since junior high school. When I was in high school, I attended a program my high school offered called The St. Nicks Tutoring program where I tutored my peers in math. When I was in college, I use to help my friends who didn't understand algebra understand it well. I'm good with percentages, decimals, various equations with variables, graphing, multiplying, dividing, addition, and more.I recently graduated from Sullivan County Community ... ... More

""A" College Student Specializing in Math and Science "
Math has always been my strongest subject, as evidenced by the repeated A's that I get for grades. That includes easy A's I've gotten in earlier subjects like Algebra I and Geometry to more advanced courses like AP BC Calculus, Calculus III, and Linear Algebra during high school and college. I've tutored multiple peers in math throughout my years. In high school, I was the Varsity Math Team captain, placing top 20 in the New England Math League Contest my senior year. My high school math department awarded me the "Most Deserving Student" Scholarship Award following my graduation. My releva ... More

I have written for a wide variety of media (print, online, and television) for both specialized and general-interest audiences.
I'm particularly proud of writing in any number of 'voices' depending on where my work will appear and who will be reading it: popular and easy-going for general audiences, informative yet engaging for business and trade pubications, and downright silly for animation and children's literature.
I've interviewed dozens of people in all walks of life in the course of my work. This experience, combined with my outgoing personality, makes it easy for me to establish a co ... More

I have had multiple meetings with Ben, to improve my Russian speaking skills in preparation for a trip to the Ukraine. Ben is always very punctual, and on time. Whenever we go over course work, he makes sure that you fully understand the concept of his lesson plan by throwing in subtle questions.
Ben then uses various real life examples to help fortify your understanding of the subject material, which helps drastically with long term retention. Ben's down to earth and laid back - yet professional personality makes him easy to be around and get along with as well. Great tutor, I plan to have more sessions with him in the future.

My passion for teaching foreign languages comes from an equally strong love of learning them. With my experience starting in high school, I have worked on ways to teach for several years and worked with a wide variety of students. The most important thing when teaching is conveying the material in an accessible and understandable way and providing practice in order to allow familiarization.
In college I had great deal of experience with teaching foreign languages to a variety of students. ... ... More
