I have been working with Mr. Timothy for about two months and I've made a lot of progress. I have decided to take Japanese independently, in place of Spanish in school, and Mr. Timothy has agreed to be my teacher for the next two years to facilitate that.
The lessons are always really active - he brings in media, other sources, and offers relevant Japanese culture points that go along with the lesson I'm studying. The books he suggested are well written and organized, and he clearly has experience figuring out the proper pace for the course.
I am attempting to finish 3-4 academic years of Japanese in 2 years, and with Mr. Timothy's help, I definitely think this is possible. I would highly recommend him to anyone who is serious about learning Japanese.

I feel fortunate to have found a great tutor in Sam. He is very professional and flexible. Most importantly, Sam is able to understand the student's needs, prepare the right material, and encourage the student's improvement. I would recommend Sam to any prospective student.
