Mark is very good at going through the details step by step, which is really important for advanced math. He writes the problems out for me to use as a study aid. He is very good at explaining when I don't quite understand a problem; he can explain it in a different way than my professor so I get it. He's also good at reminding me how much I should be studying and helping me figure out what and how to study for a test. Since he used to teach, he has some insight on how a teacher might think and helps me focus on the important problems when it's time to do that last minute cramming for a test.

I enjoy teaching the younger grades and challenging them. I truly enjoy teaching from picture books, which are rich in vocabulary and words that challenge the student. Some of the well-known authors I have used are Jan Brett, Marc Brown, Eric Carle, Tomie DePaola, Marcus Pfister and Audry Wood.
