Jim was outstanding in tutoring my son in physics. He is a superior motivator and a true subject matter expect. I only wish we had known about Jim at the beginning of the school year. He has restored my son's self confidence in a very difficult subject.

"Experienced Tutor: Latin and Greek"
I've been tutoring private Latin and Greek students at all ages and all abilities for over fifteen years now. I am well acquainted with almost all of the Latin textbooks currently in use as well as several of the Greek textbooks. Having tutored students from many different schools I understand how to adjust each student's tutorial program to best fit the teaching style of his or her school's Latin teacher.
Although I have taught Latin in middle schools as well as in high schools and c... ... More

Stephen P. helps me understand concepts on a deeper level than simple memorization. He makes me really learn to understand the information and connect it to previous things I've learned. He's taught me the bigger picture of physiology and he applies each individual concept to a bigger understanding of WHY something would happen how it does rather than just teaching me that something happens. This lesson, he talked me through a multitude of practice questions that he prepared and we discussed each answer in depth together. Then at the end of the lesson, he let me take the questions home in order to use them as yet another study tool for the test. He is a great tutor and has helped me raise my grade in my physiology class from a 61% (on the first test) to an 88% on the second, and I know I'll do even better on the third test and the final because I truly understand the inner-workings of the material now.
I would recommend Stephen P. to anyone even remotely struggling in anatomy & physiology.

Peter tutored my son as he was preparing to take college entrance exams. My son has a tendency to clam up when taking these tests. Peter was very patient and taught him test taking techniques that will follow him through his college years as well. Not only did Peter tutor, but he mentored him as well. Peter is very accessible and provides excellent feedback in the appropriate time frame. My son has really enjoyed working with him and I will keep him in mind for future tutorial needs!
