I started working with Alireza after having a bad experience with a previous Farsi tutor. Alireza presents the lesson in a clear, logical manner and is always well organized. I would recommend his services to others in the NoVA area.

Alex was fabulous. After completing my MBA 15 years ago, I decided to pursue a PhD in Business Management. I needed to rewrite the GMAT (17 years since I last wrote it!). I had forgotten far more than I remembered. After a couple of frustrating months of trying to teach myself, I started working with Alex. He was so much help. I wrote the GMAT and got a GREAT score! Thank you Alex.

Yaseer did a great job introducing me to MVC development. He created a small website layout for me and guided me step by step on how he did it and how it works. Overall he's a great tutor and he knows his stuff. 5 star rating because he was great and extremely helpful, he made it look really easy. I'll definitely have more lessons with him.

"Master's Certified Teacher with Experience to Tutor Different Subjects"
I have been teaching since 1996, after I discovered my vocation when I worked as a Human Resources Manager for a retail company. I used to train all new personnel and I enjoyed every minute of it, from preparing the training session to delivering it and evaluating it, making sure the new employees understood.
Since then, my teaching and tutoring experience has been mostly in South Florida and abroad, however, now that I moved to Virginia with my wife and children, I'm teaching full time at a... ... More
Every once in a while my daughter says school is not her thing. I know staying on task and accepting feedback also are not necessarily her thing. But Ms. Mary is her thing. We had several lessons in August (and I wish we had begun earlier in the summer) and not once did my daughter complain or resist going to tutoring. Ms Mary was able to keep her engaged and learning. She has a nice positive style that draws my daughter in rather than being resistant. ms Mary selects materials individual to her interests. She adds in new concepts outside of her written material as they arise. For example my daughter referred to something incorrectly -off the top of her head ms Mary explained the proper usage and gave her a concrete tool to use. Even if my daughter does not remember each and every rule taught I know if she hears these concepts in school next year she will feel prepared.

As a seasoned ESOL teacher, I incorporate all four areas (Listening,Reading, Oral & Writing (LROW) according to the needs of my students. Of course I deviate as necessary. For example, if I realize that most of the students' weaknesses are grammar and writing, I adjust accordingly. If I teach children, I'm capable of addressing their particular needs. I use ESOL texts, realia, conversation issues, math manipulatives (for younger children), etc. I consider grammar to be one of the most important components of the English language! ... More
