I have had a very positive tutoring experience with Odile. She is organized, attentive and thorough, and she gets great results! She is a native French speaker, so she's tremendous help with developing an authentic French accent. She also develops personalized lesson plans catered to your abilities and interests, and always makes sure to work on conversational skills. Very easy to reach by phone or email. Highly Recommended!

Shirin M. has far surpassed our expectations in a tutor. She is working with our 17-year old daughter in the very challenging subject of Calculus. Shirin had a tough assignment as a tutor because our daughter, who was taking an self-taught, online Calculus course through her high school, found out right before winter break that she had fallen close to two months behind in her class. This put her in the difficult position of catching up on more than what could be called a considerable amount of work before she would be allowed to re-enroll for the second semester. How fortunate we were that Shirin was available this very busy week of the year to offer our daughter 20 hours of individual tutoring (not to mention emotional support) for this daunting challenge! Shirin even took on this assignment while on her vacation week from her own full-time day job...wow! Shirin has been prompt to our sessions, professional, encouraging, patient, flexible with scheduling, and thorough in her tutoring. She knows not just how to do the problems herself, but how to teach our daughter to understand and solve the work on her own - this is a skill that not every tutor/teacher has. We are confident that between our daughter's determination to succeed and Shirin's tutoring, our daughter will achieve the goal of re-enrollment for her second semester.

"Learn Math and Finance with Shirin"
I am an MBA graduate from the Robert H. Smith School of Business, University of Maryland with a concentration in Finance. With over three years experience in Operations Research at United Parcel Service (UPS) along with my experience at Smith, I believe I am a strong candidate to tutoring.
During my academic years at Smith, I enrolled in financial management courses to advance my skills in Finance and Mathematics. These courses increased my expertise to complete in-depth company and industry... ... More
Betty is very easy to work with. My schedule is ever changing and she consistently checks her email and gets back to me immediately. She is very flexible. She provides excellent explanations when I do not understand things. In one week, my grade in Macroeconomics has gone up 10 points, and I have received 95%'s and above in my French work. She is versatile; she helps me with primarily Marcoeconomics, but French when needed. She is the best!

"Economics, Algebra and French tutor"
I enjoy helping all students from elementary to graduate school in Economics, Accounting, Finance and other Business courses. I also tutor middle and high school students in Algebra and Geometry.
I love to breakdown theoretical economics and math concepts in a way that makes sense to students. Sometimes, it just takes few concepts for everything to make sense. And I definitely love to see that "aha look" on my students' face when everything starts making sense. That's my reward.

"Experienced Math Tutor"
I am currently a college student that is attending Towson University as an Applied Mathematics major. As a rising senior, I have had my share of struggles during each academic semester. Despite the many times that I wanted to give up, the reason I chose not to was because of the professors that were teaching my classes.
By having professors that built upon their students' confidence, it helped me understand the class material a lot more since I knew that they were willing to help me. With... ... More
"College Prof Knows Her Stuff! Great at teaching stats and SPSS"
I've been teaching statistics and SPSS to undergraduates for over 20 years. I love to see students "get it" after they initially feel that stats is beyond them. I think that sometimes one-on-one teaching is best for many students, but this cannot happen in a classroom full of others. I like that I have the opportunity to reach out now and really influence students on a different level.
I have tons of interesting examples to run analyses on, and I can explain in accurate, non technical la... ... More
