"Enthusiastic Math and Science Tutor Specializing in College Prep"
Hello Learners!
I'm Lillie M. and I am a recent college graduate of North Carolina State University (Class of 2015). When I was in school I double majored in Textile Engineering and Polymer and Color Chemistry. I always loved education and fell in love with math and science as I pursued these degrees. My enjoyment for education really blossomed when I had the opportunity to become a teaching assistant for the Computer Science department my sophomore year of college. During this time I was so... ... More

I took the GMAT recently, and attempted to study for it on my own using three different study guides that were loaded with examples, practice problems, and methods. Despite my self-inflicted slavery to my studying, I did not do anywhere near as well as I had hoped I would on the Quantitative section of the test. However, within a few minutes of sitting down with John, I was learning alternative, easier ways to find the answers to problems that had plagued me from Day 1 of studying on my own. I also found myself doing a great deal of material mentally rather than writing it all out. John's teaching methods pulled me out of the black hole of complication brought about by my Kaplan study guides and showed me a simpler, more time-efficient way of finding answers without having an anxiety attack of second-guessing. He's very knowledgeable, patient, encouraging, and great at building understanding and confidence. Great tutor!

"Patient, effective tutor for your most difficult subject"
I have helped students understand every math subject from prealgebra through algebra, geometry, trigonometry, precalculus, and calculus. Often, when a student is having challenges in math, it is because one or two concepts slipped by, or weren’t taught properly. This makes the next concept more difficult, and pretty soon a student can be overwhelmed. I will quickly help you get caught up, and then help you get ahead, so that your math classes will be like review sessions instead of “mystery hoursâ€. ... More
