"Making Math, Science, and General Nerdery Interesting since '83"
What can I say? My wife married a nerd. It's a broad stroke of the word, but I just enjoy learning and sharing what I learn with others.
So, here we are, and I'm at a loss for words... To narrow some of this down, I graduated in the top 10 of my high school graduating class. I excelled in all subjects as well as extracurricular activities. It was never easy; it was work. That's what I hope to establish with my clients. The subject may not be easy, but hard work, perseverance, and ... ... More

Ms. Marcia has been such an incredible help in Spanish tutoring. This past semester was my final semester of my undergraduate career, and in order to graduate I needed to fulfill an advanced level Spanish course. Foreign language has never been my strong suit, and that was incredibly apparent after my first test and first failing grade ever in my collegiate career. My professor told me there was no hope of my graduating or passing this course, and that I should seriously consider dropping the course all together. However, I did a bit of research and found Ms. Marcia through Wyzant, and I couldn't have made a better decision by choosing her as my tutor. She is incredibly fluent in several different languages, and grammar is her specialty. She was able to help me understand Spanish in a different way, and I was not only able to pass Spanish with a B+, but I was able to graduate from GSU Cum Laude, and with other honors.
If you are looking for a tutor in just about any language, Ms. Marcia is the right choice.

"Taking one step at a time"
Good grammar helps one to speak well. Good grammar helps one to write well. Good grammar helps one to communicate a message clearly and effectively. Grammar skills are necessary in school exams and in college papers; in a resume for a job, and in a job interview; in a client presentation or in an impromptu speech.
Good grammatical skills separate the literate from the illiterate and assist in the small factoids of life.
I was taught grammar since my fist grade at school and the challenge became progressively heavy as the grades went by. Yet, my good foundation in grammar led me to unders ... More

"I make learning simple!"
I believe the lessons learned best are those that are fun. When I am tutoring, my students' "likes" and "dislikes" play an important part in how I design my lesson plans. While studying at Georgia State University, I researched "learning" and how the brain retains information. The method I use helps the information STICK. (And, that's the point right?)
