"Math Tutoring and Test Prep"
First, a bit about me...
I live in the northwestern part of Columbus, Ohio, not far from Dublin, Worthington, and Powell.
I am 57 years old. I hold a graduate degree from a Big Ten university (no, not Ohio State, though both of my kids graduated from OSU) and work for the Ohio Department of Education. My field is testing and assessment, and my understanding of tests and test items has proved helpful in preparing students for standardized tests.
I specialize in high school and college-lev... ... More
Alex was a good, patient tutor. When I didn't understand something he would find a different way to explain until I understood. He helped me to learn how to convert word problems into an equation, that could then be evaluated. He showed me some tricks with exponents that I will use for a long time. We still have lot of studying ahead of us. I am glad I inquired for help from Alex.

Your search for a tutor is over because Nino is the BEST there is! He will make your goals his own and that helps tremendously in keeping you on track should you get discouraged or busy with other things. He has exceptional knowledge and experience with written and spoken Spanish. If you need intensive review sessions or need to learn knew concepts, he is able to adjust appropriately without hesitation. He keeps his sessions lighthearted and fun, but most importantly he's an encourager, he was always cheering for me. There wasn't a day that Nino didn't encourage me and say he believed in me. For that, I definitely gained confidence in my Spanish and other academic pursuits. For all these reasons and more, I'd call him my Personal Spanish Coach - the word tutor just doesn't do him justice!!

I started working with Andrew as I was struggling with Organic Chemistry. I wish I had started tutoring with Andrew earlier in the semester. Prior to tutoring, Organic Chemistry felt like a foreign language to me. Andrew was very patient, and explained concepts in ways I was able to understand them. Rather than simply giving me the answers, he asked me questions and helped me work through problems so that I finally understood the concepts. With his help I was able to finally begin to understand and enjoy Organic Chemistry. I would highly recommend Andrew as a tutor!

"Chemistry and Mathematics: from the fundamentals to your success!"
I took two semesters of organic chemistry and one semester of physical organic chemistry with an overall average of an A- grade. During my undergraduate junior and senior years, I was a designated tutor for my chemistry department in organic chemistry. The students who came in regularly and from the beginning saw the greatest gain. Learning organic chemistry, at large, requires a build up from the physicochemical properties of molecules and functional groups, to reactions and mechanisms, to synthesis. Thus, the better the understanding of the prior steps, the better the understanding of the fo ... More
Rupa was an excellent tutor. She is very patient and sweet. My daughter really enjoyed working with her. We have seen a big improvement in her attitude towards math due to Rupa's instruction.
