I spent three years as a professor at Ohio University. As a professor, my responsibilities included mentoring and counseling students about their careers. I played an active role at the university in building brings with organizations inside and outside the institution. Also, I talked to hiring managers, HR managers and supervisors about what they wanted to see in students their companies recruited. More importantly, I listened to students and helped them shape their coursework to prepare for the futures they saw for themselves.
