"Microbiologist and music teacher"
I have a Bachelor of Science in Microbiology and Public Health, minor in Chemistry. I worked for 15 years in Microbiology as a researcher for Centers for Disease Control and in Hospital Laboratory settings.
After moving to Wisconsin with my family (3 boys, dog and a cat!) I started my own business of teaching kids music. I love teaching kids and seeing the joy they have in playing instruments and singing and dancing. I teach music classes to ages 10 months to 10 years. I also teach guitar ... ... More

I have used Photoshop Elements, Photoshop 7, CS4 and CS5.5. I am fluid in Mac and PC and have CS4 PC and CS5.5 for Mac. "Enthusiastic Theatre Tutor"

Knox is a liberal arts college that is dedicated to teaching its students how to think critically, write effectively, and solve problems thoroughly, and I firmly believe that is exactly the education I got. In my time there, I learned how to write strongly persuasive essays, and I built a reliable method for studying that I would love to pass on to others.
Ever since I was little, I have had an inc... ... More
"Certified Elementary Teacher"
As a certified Elementary teacher, I am eager to help students excel in academics and life. Over the past two years, while teaching at Sacheon English Library for Children and GNB English Academy, both in South Korea, I was able to feel the reward of imparting knowledge on young minds, while at the same time learning from the children and culture. The excitement in the faces of the students was inspiring in itself, but watching them apply what they had learned was a true joy. With education b... ... More
Very thorough and consistently completed what needed to be accomplished. Such a pleasure to work with, but the best part was the success we saw with our child. Built confidence and now doesn't dislike and of her subjects. Thank you.

"Licensed math and science teacher "
I use very targeted instruction with my students. Using a full diagnostic ACT test, we carefully select specific content to master. If we need to refresh plane geometry, but algebra is relatively strong, we really hone in on the geometry, especially because we know that there will be 14 questions out of 60 on plane geometry on the test!
We also discuss testing strategies. The ACT test is one of the most consistent tests ever designed, and understanding how the test is constructed and how to "read between the lines" can be quite valuable, especially if your student is not a good test taker.
