Doug and I recently worked together, as I found myself in desperate need of a statistics tutor. Writing this now, my statistics course has come to a close, and I can truly say I would not have succeeded in the basic objectives of using descriptive and inferential statistics in social science research, if not for Doug!
Doug was incredibly patient and encouraging in my journey to understand statistics. During our initial lesson, he told me, "By end this of this term, you'll love statistics". I was skeptical, but in the end with his help, really did enjoy the course.
Additionally, Doug was prompt with communication exchanges in scheduling lessons, and flexible and willing to meet with me several times a week.
I cannot recommend Doug enough, he sincerely wants students to succeed. He was was able to explain, demonstrate and inspire me when I felt hopeless in subject content I did not understand. He was observant of my weaknesses and strengths, and used this as a scaffold for increasing my learning, and boosting my confidence.
