"Mrs. H's Tutoring: I Can Help"

I believe that I can help your Elementary student succeed in reading because I've been educating children since high school when I instructed swim lessons at the YMCA. I also enjoyed teaching English to Italian children when I spent a quarter abroad during college. Since that time, I received a Master's in Education, Texas teaching certificates and have grown to love working with children. I recently scored 296/300 on the TEXES EC-12 Pedagogy test. This means that I am well prepared to work with children of all ages and get what it takes to create a positive and productive learning environment ... More

Temisha is very thorough and organized in evaluating students and identifying what their needs are. I just finished my first lesson and was very impressed with her teaching and approach to Trigonometry. I have had problems with math in the past and very much needed tutoring to prepare for a Trig class at Texas Tech in the fall. I was stressed about starting any type of review. I am easily frustrated with math. Temisha put things in perspective and her positive attitude and knowledge of the subject gave me the confidence I needed to start learning and I enjoyed the session very much and look forward to working with her this summer. She takes the time required for me to understand each topic and concept. Excellent teacher. She is very prompt with returning emails and phone calls.
