"Professional, talented, and patient teacher"
I am a music graduate with Music Education as my major with emphasis in Voice culture, and minor in Piano.
I have been teaching classroom music in all levels. I have been exposed to many cultures and have not had any problems dealing with children as young as three years old and private voice/piano students as old as eighty years old.
I love helping people learn music not only through formal lessons, but also incorporating fun, educational and entertaining games. I am looking forward to m... ... More

"If there's a book on it, I can teach it"
I can teach anybody, anything, anywhere. I can teach a cat to fetch, and I have. In my opinion, a teacher is much like a physical trainer who knows how to implement different methods in a way that maximizes the individual's overall benefit. "Memorizing is not the same as understanding. Yet far too often, memorizing seems all that is expected..." (Kellough & Carjuzza p. 231). School to me is so much more than the acquisition of knowledge. It is a community that can be simply the classroom or e... ... More
Richard is an awesome physics tutor. This was my first experience in a physics class (college level physics) and I certainly felt behind compared to the other students who had taken physics in high school. In a particularly challenging topic that can be very confusing at times, Richard is able to make sense of the material and convey it clearly to a beginner. He also teaches college physics and was able to provide me with worksheets and some other relevant materials that he uses for his classes. I was on the verge of getting a C in my physics class but thanks to Richard I was able to do well on the final and get a B.

"Stanford PhD tutors for success in math, science, and test prep"
I am a lifelong learner with a lifelong desire to teach. Nothing thrills me more than seeing the light of discovery in a student's eyes when (s)he really understands a concept for the first time. While I have been a classroom teacher for more than ten years, with experience at both the college and high school level, I consider myself most effective as a one-on-one or small group tutor, where full attention can be devoted to engaging the student in the subject matter. And in fact, I have tutor... ... More
