For the first tutoring session with my son, I noticed that Kathryn D. had connected with my son. He felt comfortable with her and I believe was more open with her in regards to if he understood or did not understand his homework. It was a relief to see she had connected to him and that there was open dialogue.
I also noticed Kathryn was very good at using the study terminology while teaching my son, which I believe will help him in his conceptual learning of the topic.
Thank you Katie, we look forward to the next session!

I've been doing algebra 1 for what seems to be forever; I was interested in it when I was a kid, so when I was still in elementary school, my dad taught me how to factor and expand (foil). When I finally got to Algebra 1 in school, I passed easily, helping everyone else in my group to understand the concepts that I had known for years. I still love doing Algebra, and if you need help with it, I would LOVE to help you. It's OK, my boyfriend who is in calculus had to have me help him with factoring too. ... More
Rebecca helped me through my biology class last semester. She was very kind and patient and took the time to help me through tough concepts. Becca gave me tips for studying productively and always found time to fit me into her schedule. I felt much more prepared and confident for my exams!

Dr Jerry L.
I hired Jerry L for tutoring in diff eq and was not pleased with his services.
My biggest complaint him was that he was charging me for preparation work that He insisted on doing before our meeting. I simply wanted him to help me through problems I was having difficulty with, and walk me through them. I am not complaining that he wanted to be prepared and have a "lesson" for me, I am complaining that he charged me to the example problems for our meeting in his free time. I have dealt with a number of other tutors before and none have ever charged me for their help on a problem via email, he was the first.
Even with all his "preparation" he still would manage to make mistakes in his calculations. There were a number of example problems Jerry did in his free time, but when I went to check the answers they came out wrong. Sometimes the wrong answers would come from an actual mathematical mistake but the majority of the time it was a simple mistake like reading the problem correctly.
NOT SATISFIED OR PLEASED WITH JERRY L'S TUTORING SERVICES.
