Matt was very professional from day one. He was very quick to respond prior to setting up our weekly meetings. Matt and I met FOUR times a week (in the summer) for my statistics course. I took this course previously and did NOT pass it. With Matt's help of meeting me at MY school, I was able to pass the class with an A! He picks up on your learning style and makes sure to accommodate accordingly. He would also stay past the time we allotted to ensure that I had a complete understanding of the problem. He is friendly and I would recommend him to anyone! (:

"Matt is a talented and gifted tutor. He has a great way of communicating errors in my work. The greatest strength for me is how he is able to help me to see the mistakes in my own work and correct them myself with a new and more advanced understanding of the coursework. He also makes great use of our time, not a minute wasted." -Michael W. ... More
I contacted Corrine through WyzAnt, and was pleasantly surprised to receive her response within an hour. I explained what I needed in our subsequent emails over the next several hours. In 2 days, she had put together a crash course for my trip to Paris which was only 1 week away!
Considering the amount of time we had and the scope of my knowledge in French (which was almost none), it was an impossible task. As anyone can imagine, I struggled through the way with pronunciation, new words, sentences and conjugations. However, during the trip to Paris, I realized that Corrine had effectively taught me some key concepts, words and phrases that turned out to be very helpful. In fact, I got lost once during the trip and ended up using a sentence she insisted that I learn. (It actually worked and I found my way back!)
She is very patient and pleasant to be with, but what's more, she pays attention to how you learn and actually adjusts how to teach. (Many teachers claim they do this, but not many actually can. It's hard to do. I know so; I taught too.)
In a nut shell, as far as I'm concerned, I don't see any reason why anyone should not give her a shot! Good luck to you all!

At this time, I have taken about 7 lessons from Charlotte. I find that I have been progressing rather rapidly. We practice finger positions, hand techniques, sheet music notes, note reading, and bow techniques. I find that I can remember and play pieces that before would have been intimidated to play due to difficulty of the pieces. I like working with Charlotte to understand the history of the violin, and would totally recommend her to anyone wanting to play violin for the first time, or want a refresher course!

"Lifelong Learner and Master Teacher Ready to Share Her Secrets"
Mastering education basics opens the doors to endless possibilities and is critical to becoming an enthusiastic lifelong learner. For the past five years, I have worked extensively with elementary school students, tutoring all subjects. My students reflect a wide range of abilities, goals and learning styles. Some students want to become better spellers; others, to understand math; and still others, to learn to read. I have worked and had success with them all.
My credentials include an undergraduate teaching certification, graduate work in reading and a full SEI (structured English immer ... More
