If you are looking for help in nearly any academic subject, then I am your guy. I am an energetic and friendly person who simply loves to teach others to the best of my abilities. I recently achieved National Board Certification in Early Childhood Reading and Language Arts. In my spare time, I have b... ... More
Shawn has worked wonders with my son. His chemistry has gone from a failing grade to a B+, and on his last quiz he got an A. Shawn is easy to contact, available at short notice, very knowledgeable in the subject content - in my case high school Chemistry, and uses the lesson time extremely efficiently. During one lesson my son was not focusing as he should; Shawn called and we ended the lesson and rescheduled for another time. I appreciated the call as it allowed me to help my son understand exactly what is expected of him, and at the same time ensures I get full value for my money from the lesson.
Thoughts from my son:
"Shawn is an excellent tutor. He stays on topic and knows how to teach people stuff."
I would highly recommend Shawn to anyone.

"College and High School Tutor with Years of Experience"
I understand the feeling that students have when they do not understand math. I was a poor math student in high school and did not develop a passion for it until college. It was in college that I learned that I would be required to take a graduate school prep exam that contained all of high school math up to college calculus. I spent six months preparing for the exam and not only scored in the top 2% in the nation but found that I had a love for math.
It is actually my performance on that exam that led me in to tutoring and I have been helping high school and college students with math, sc ... More

More specifically, how does parenting impact such adolescent behavior? In addition, my research has been centered on programmatic evaluation. I have had the pleasure of evaluating adolescent programs ... ... More

I am a recent grad from ASU and was asking for help in C# from David, not for a passing grade, but to keep my new job. I have a family to support, and I am so happy I have David to tutor me. I have no doubt that he is giving me a much better chance of securing my programming job into the future. From our first meeting to our last, David has always shown the willingness to adjust and adapt to my needs. Whether it's meeting times, days, or different ways of meeting. In my opinion, David goes far above the line when it comes to satisfying my needs. He always answers any questions I have through email. It's not something he keeps tabs on, he just likes to help. He actually encourages me to email him any questions I may have before our next meeting. I purchased a book and was following it. Before I knew it, he had purchased the same book just so he could help me. He did not ask me to pay for it. I am very impressed with David and would strongly recommend him to anyone who needs a tutor.

"Expert Math and Computer Science Tutor"
I have a minor in computational math to go along with my computer science degree. I really enjoy teaching the fundamentals of math like algebra because it is so important to understand the basics before moving on to more advanced subjects.
I especially pride myself on being able to explain things in a manner that are understandable by people who do not have an affinity for math. ... More
