My daughter met with Carlos for Business Math help. He was very patient and took his time, not rushing her with her mental blocks. He really opened her up to a better understanding of the problems she was trying to solve. Thank you Carlos!

Christine is a good teacher. My elder son, 9 y/o likes her and I asked if he's ok w/ her, and my son said she was able to relate with him and seems to know teaching well, however, my younger son, a 9 y/o could not relate to her teaching style, maybe Christine would be able to adjust the style when it comes to my other son. Suggestion: 1st 30 mins with my younger son & last 30 mins with my elder son. Except this coming Saturday only, 03/12/11, I requested Christine just for 30 mins only since we need to meet our other app't thereafter.

"If you Need Help, I Get the Job Done"
Working on study skills was a very important component while tutoring for the university. As tutors, we had regular trainings featuring study tips and techniques for all students, and particularly those with learning disabilities. This was particularly useful because these tips are applicable to everyone, and thus I can easily come up with a set of tips for any given student based on learning styles and what kind of help is needed.
My training at the university has also been supplemented by both trainings and a summer program I have taught for two off-campus tutoring sites. These trainings i ... More

I lived and worked in France for 6 years and did my graduate and undergraduate studies in a French University. My approach to learning any language is to make it alive and dynamic by using real world situations and text and learning grammar through usage and not just memorizing verb and vocabulary lists. ... " Native Spanish Speaking Tutor"
I was born in Mexico City and when I was 17 years old I received a scholarship to study a psychology course in Poland. I have a bachelor's degree in Tourism and Marketing, but teaching Spanish as a foreign language has been my passion. It is the reason that I traveled to Barcelona to obtain a teaching certificate. I also have a background training and motivating people. Part of my informal background also includes teaching Spanish in Poland and Polish in San Diego.

"Experienced Art/Graphic Design/Multimedia/Japanese Tutor."
Japanese is very structured language and as English speakers, we tend to get overwhelmed by vocabulary, grammar, and idiom memorization. The writing system includes romajii (romanized characters), hiragana, katakana, and kanji (Chinese characters), but then there is whole other side of conversational Japanese that is unspoken within academic courses. I've often been told in order to learn Japanese, I have to think Japanese and that is hard to imagine when I wasn't raised there. The best way to learn Japanese is to practice and role-play in real-life situations where your vocabulary and grammar ... More
