I took lessons from Kay in 2010 and have started again now that Kay is back from an extended stay in France. She is a very warm and cordial person who is never intimidating, and she is a really good instructor. She is a native French speaker and can tailor the lesson to your level. My French has improved a lot with Kay, and I highly recommend her.

"Teaching Spanish in a fun way!"

I am a native Spanish speaker female from South America. I have a bachelors degree in psychology with a minor in education and behavioral psychology. When it comes to my native tongue, I am very passionate about helping others understand the Spanish language and become fluent while learning in an easy, clear and universal way that would allow them to communicate with anyone who speak Spanish regardless of their country of origin. I am very resourceful, fun and very patient. I not only hav... ... More

My son has been tutored by Gary for the past year in Calculus and it has been one of the best decisions we made. My son's Calculus class left him utterly confused--and hating math. With Gary's careful, patient, and detailed instruction and explanations, my son now better understands and appreciates Calculus. Gary's experience as a home school parent and his maturity make him stand out from many other tutors. There are lots of people who may know higher level math well--but when it comes to tutoring, you need someone who has the ability and experience to teach it in a way your student can understand. Gary's educational background is in the math and science field and he is able to take that knowledge and use his talent as a teacher (he has homeschooled several children--one is now in college) to clearly explain difficult concepts. He is also a very patient and kind person and my son and I are thankful for all his teaching and help.

"Your Math Success is My Satisfaction, Mechanical PE Homeschool Dad"

I am not new to tutoring, but I am just starting with WyzAnt. Little did I know that back in college when I assisted a fellow student in calculus, it was a peek to my future. No new tutoring came my way after helping my classmate, but I used my math to study engineering. I graduated in chemical engineering from UC Berkeley, worked 16 years as a field-engineer supporting ship repairs, then spent two years as an engineering consultant for environmental site remediation. I earned my license as a... ... More

Fassil is a great tutor, we have had two appointments so far each lasting two hours and they were worth more than every penny. He is very patient, explains the questions very well and walks through the formula step by step as I need, all while explaining why the steps in the formula are neccessary. We also made alist of my weak points so I know what to watch out for on tests. A good example of how these past two tutoring appointments have helped me is that on my second statistics test at solano community college I recieved 31% my teacher allows everyone else in the class one chance to retake a test, after the tutoring I felt much more confident in my knowledge and I recieved 85% my grade in the class has increased drastically.
