"I am an artist who loves a good puzzle"
I love to learn. I have taught elementary through high school and my aim is always to have as much fun as possible while doing it. My fuse is long and my sense of humor, excellent.
While teaching elementary science we raised butterflies from pupae. We made models of atoms from marshmallows and toothpicks (and ate them). We danced the three states of matter.
I taught elementary phonics by writing little songs so my students could remember the correct sound by singing.

Mo was great in getting my son to understand the basics of Adobe Photoshop. My son had some limited experience with the program, and Mo helped him go to the next level. For my son to be able to understand Photoshop and work efficiently in the program is great. Mo has a excellent grasp of the software and communicates this well during the lessons. Great job, Mo!

Reading programs are generally designed using content area reading in both science and social studies. Reading selections are developmentally sequential with schema and conceptual hierarchies that build on previous lessons. Reading strategies include identifying the main idea, recognizing details, cause and effect relationships, and drawing conclusions. Summarizing skills are developed through using visual memory to recall sequential material, and key concepts. This is implemented by exercises that focus on decoding and encoding that are developed at the same time.

"High Energy and Passionate Math Tutor"
I graduated magna cum laude with a B.S. in Chemistry from Saint Martin's University. I have worked as a chemist in the private sector and as a financial and budget analyst in the public sector, but have been at home most recently raising my children. I have taught mostly younger kids -- mine and others -- pre-algebra, algebra, and geometry for three years. I employ a high energy style of instruction combined with a relatively significant amount of homework to reinforce my lessons. Referen... ... More

"Master's degree in Education. Focus on success for all students."
Algebra is a course in which basic algebraic concepts are introduced and mastered. Algebra 1 is taught at the high school level and occasionally at the middle school level to 8th grade students. Students learn how to solve for variables, how to manipulate integers, and how to graph and find equations for lines, bisectors, midpoints, and so on.
College level algebra is another level of algebra. It tends to go more in depth and require a deeper understanding of theorems and applications.
I am very comfortable assisting students with either level of algebra.
