As a freshman in college, my daughter was very stressed out and concerned about getting through chemistry. Frances was a wonderful tutor who helped break down the information in a way that she could understand it. I would highly recommend Frances for any student who needs that extra help. She is terrific!!

"The Chemistry & Math Solution! A Patient, Effective, Tutor"

I have both life experience and tutoring experience with people who have ADD/ADHD. My education on working with these students draws heavily from my experiences growing up with a sister who has ADHD, my many opportunities tutoring students with ADD/ADHD and from the vast amount of literature I have studied on the subject of children, teens and adults with ADD/ADHD. I understand the struggle these students have and the fact that many have nearly given up due to constant negative feedback they have received in their educational endeavors thus far. I look at ADD/ADHD as a gift of energy and high ... More

This was my first time ever using a tutor so I really didn't know what to expect. Well I learned that Ms. Ursula was a very intelligent woman and she knew what she was talking about and was very helpful. She took her time showing me how to do my work and gave me examples that I could really understand well and they made sense. She gave me the confidence that I could do my work and understand it also. So if anyone is looking for a excellent tutor who really cares about what you are trying to learn Ms. Ursula is the right tutor for the job. On top of all this the day she came out to my house the electric had gotten cut off early and so she was teaching me in a dim hot house. So I can just image how she would be in a house with the lights on and the air. I give this woman her brownie points for a job well done. If I ever need a tutor again I will most definitely call her.

"PhD Scientist specializing in Chemistry and math"

I'm currently an Instructor teaching College Chemistry at CPCC. I recently got my PhD in Environmental Science and I also have a BS and MS in Chemistry. I've also spent some time as a math and chemistry tutor in the past 3 years. One key thing about my style of teaching is that I try to use technology, i.e., videos, visual aids etc. as much as possible as long as I think it'll help my students understand what I'm teaching.... ... Noelea, helps my daughter with her math. She is patient, and goes right on the subject that she's there for.
We hired Angela to help our son (8, 2nd grade) gain both skills and confidence in math. He liked working with Angela, learned under her tutelage, and gained the confidence he needed to succeed. His standardized test scores shot up and he no longer dreads math. As a matter of fact, he now likes multiplication! Angela was willing to flex her teaching curriculum to accommodate my son's school homework, which was great. In addition, Angela was very easy to communicate with and when our standard tutoring schedule was in conflict with other events, she was flexible to finding time to teach. The only reason we stopped working with Angela was because we moved. Otherwise, I would have continued using her to maintain my son's interest in math.
