Amelia is a fantastic tutor. She tutored my daughter in Latin this summer. We were worried about teaching styles and the ability of someone to have an impact for just one hour a week. Amelia is patient, interested in Latin, as well as Greek, and truly enjoys tutoring and teaching. She absolutely appreciated having a dedicated student who needed a reliable, organized and personable tutor. I definitely recommend Amelia. My daughter met with her a short distance from home. She is very flexible and easy going. My daughter just wanted to stay ahead of the game over the summer so that everything is fresh in her mind when she returns to school. She didn't need to be tutored but wanted and enjoyed the experience with Amelia. My daughter is a superb student who enjoys to learn, and Amelia is a fantastic teacher who loves to teach others.

I sought Dave's help for my college level Critical Thinking class which involved difficult logic problems that I was struggling with on my own. Having never tutored me before, he was able to review the class assignments and my book and then immediately dive right into the material with me. Although Dave and I only needed to meet for two sessions in order to finish my assignments, we were able to accomplish so much. I knew immediately that I made the right choice and would highly recommend him as a tutor based on his teaching background and vast knowledge. As I continue with my education, I would not hesitate in utilizing Dave again.

I have always been a completely committed teacher, who cares deeply about the growth of my students’ work over time. Teaching clarifies my own visual ideas through highly developed verbal skills I have acquired over many years for communicating complex visual ideas. I am always learning new ways of communicating more acutely; each student’s personality, history and ways of seeing fine-tune it. I have taught on the college level many years in a variety of materials, including carved wood, san... ... More
