I have extensive experience teaching students to read, write, and thoroughly understand and enjoy the English language. I have always loved to teach; as an undergraduate student, I spent many hours tutoring my fellow students not only in English but also in lower-level math and science courses. As a professor at both Liberty University and Central Virginia Community College, I have 6 years of experience designing dynamic lesson plans, working one-on-one with students to improve their writing ... ... This tutor is great. She really listened to what I wanted to work on and devised a plan to help me reach my goals. She wants to help me meet what my professors want. I feel more inspired to learn and improve then I have ever felt before.

After one tutoring session with Mr. H, my college algebra test grade went from a 53 to a 90 on the very next test. Mr. H has the ability to teach, giving a quick overview of the problem, then detailed explanation in an understandable manner. Linear equations and radical exponents was the study. I have had 2 sessions and am awaiting my next test. Thank you Mr. H for saving my GPA.
We chose Evan after reviewing several tutors. We contacted him and he agreed to take on our son as a student to get him up to speed for his upcoming midterm in a few weeks and we agreed upon the meeting place which was our local library. Evan met with our son for the first session but did not line up the next session which we had ask to be done at the end of the session. After a day and a half of no communication I sent Evan another email requesting to set up the next couple of sessions with no response. Late that evening I sent him a text message with the same request. He responded that it wasn't going to work out due to the driving distance and to get another tutor from WyzAnt. He knew all the information before he excepted my son as a student. He wasted a lot of valuable time my son needed to prepare for his midterm. I ended up scrambling at the last minute back through the other tutors we had seen and lined up someone else. But now they have to take the time to evaluate my son's strengths and weaknesses to know where he needs to concentrate his efforts. Evan should have been upfront to begin with. I can not really evaluate his tutoring capabilities since we didn't get far enough to get results.
