I should begin by saying I have a very difficult child. My daughter has Asperger's Disorder and Oppositional Defiance. She can be very hard to manage.
Julie has been with us for about three weeks now. She has done an AMAZING job with our daughter. She quickly earned Kate's trust and was quick to pick up on ques to redirect and reinforce her during lessons. The weeks leading up to Julie starting our daughter was earning the occasional B, but primarily C's & D's on weekly work. The first week Julie was with us she earned 5 A's and 1 B and this past week she earned all A's!
In addition to the work with my daughter, Julie has been very respectful of our home, our family and our pets. She is a wonderful woman with a beautiful spirit.
If you are looking for a tutor you can not go wrong with Julie!

"Here to make language arts learning successful for all students!"
My first year of teaching, I taught SPED classes 10-12 (English II, English III, and Business English) and the majority of my students were specific learning disability, although I did have one student with Asperger's. I created IEPs for these students and made sure to always utilize their accommodations consistently and efficiently. Since then, I have tutored and worked with students that have a broad range of learning disabilities, including ADD/ADHD. ... More

Hi! I am currently working on my teaching certification to become an elementary school teacher. I graduated from Louisiana State University with a Bachelor's degree in Psychology and decided that I wanted to teach instead of become a counselor! I am currently in teaching courses, but I have passed the content to make me eligible for a PL2 License to teach! I can help with any elementary level education, and my strongest point is English/Language Arts and Reading! I look forward to lending ... ... More

Hello, I'm Robert. I recently graduated from from LSU summa cum laude as a university medalist with a Bachelor's degree in English. I have experience tutoring students at the college-level to get their grades up to the A range. I've found that the key to helping students is listening to them and working from where they are. Many of my clients were overwhelmed by school as this nebulous and looming thing that they couldn't grasp. I helped them to break their goals into manageable pieces, and w... ... More

My experience with Marc was fantastic. As a recent graduate of Berklee College of Music, my math skills were rather rusty. After weeks of self-study for the GRE, I found myself in dire need for a helping hand. Marc gave his all towards helping me reach my full potential. He initially spent time analyzing my weaknesses, then targeted those areas with different online and offline resources. Marc was very communicative, flexible, encouraging, but also honest and realistic. He will help you find the best ways to improve, but it is up to YOU to do the work. The 3 weeks I spent with Marc led to a 5 point (or 20%) increase in my GRE score, and while I worked extremely hard for every point, I owe much of my achievement to his guidance. I would absolutely recommend Marc to anyone looking for a tutor, be it in math or any other subject he offers. Thanks Marc!

He is excellent at explaining AP biology and tries to make sure I understand. His lessons are very organized and he goes deeper than any high school teacher would, due to his extensive knowledge in science. This tutor is a five star teacher!
