"Set Yourself Apart!"
I understand that so many times, what separates exceptional students from other students isn't intelligence or aptitude, but the passion to learn. It has been my life's work to help others to gain that desire by meeting them at their level, and helping them with the way forward to success. I have always loved teaching in many different capacities. From college age on, I have tutored young people on many different subjects ranging from math to music. For over 20 years, I have instructed pil... ... More

Jane B was requested to help my son prep for the asvab. She was thoughtful in her approach to test take strategies. Jane aided my son in raising his score approx 30%. Now that he has taken the test and on his way we would like to thank her for her help. I would recommend her.

"Master's degree in Education. Focus on success for all students."
High school algebra 2 requires students to dig deeper than the basic principles introduced in elementary algebra (algebra 1.) Algebra 2 introduces functions, f(x), quadratic equations and applications, parabolas, and trigonometric functions.
Students who lack a strong foundation in Algebra 1 tend to face challenges in Algebra 2. I can help with this, as I have several strategies and a very diverse background with both the educational and technical application of these skills.
I use the book Algebra and Trigonometry with Analytic Geometry, by Swokowski and Cole, 10th edition. This is a colleg ... More

Aidan has been an extremely good tutor in the short time I've been seeing him. Preparing for the SAT has been a stressful ordeal that I believe would have been almost impossible for me to prepare for without his help. Instead of studying random pieces of information that I believe might help me, Aidan has been providing me with a concrete direction by using extremely well proven SAT study methods. Without knowing the tips that he has furnished me with, all of the information I'd be taking in alone would either be completely irrelevant, or would hurt me during the SAT test. In addition to his vast knowledge for each portion of the SAT, Aidan is also extremely patient and understanding. He will always work at a steady pace with you and will always have an answer that makes sense to any difficult questions you may have. I am definitely not disappointed in my choice and believe that I couldn't have chosen a better tutor for this subject. I urge you to consider his services if you are ever in need of a tutor for the SAT.

"Tutoring in all academic subjects; expert on the SAT"
I have been tutoring students for many years in many subjects, since I have a very broad academic and professional background. I am especially good at helping students prepare for the PSAT and the SAT. My own score on the old SAT was 1580; that is, I missed only one question.
Sometimes students think the SAT is a comprehensive exam on everything they have learned in high school. No, it is not. They are tested on advanced vocabulary and the ability to solve math puzzles at high speed, as wel... ... More

David was very good with my 10-year-old, prompting him to figure out things on his own rather than just telling him, and allowing him to learn from his mistakes. He also seems to be organized and have a good curriculum in place for teaching programming to kids. And he is very patient!
