When you're learning a new skill no matter what your goals, especially working with someone you've never met before, it can be quite difficult to get all of the pieces in place to achieve success.
Kate handled all of these tasks perfectly, from making sure I had all of the proper supplies ready, to scheduling the lesson, to arriving promptly.
She also quickly assessed my skill level and goals and was able to fit an amazing amount of instruction and discussion in just an hour. When she left, I kept sewing and broke the needle on the machine, but was able to replace it, thread the machine again, and pick up where I left off.
Although my needs are incredibly basic (I'm just making cloth bags), she quickly identified areas where she could help streamline the process as well as my technique. Now I feel I could probably take on a more complex project (like fixing the toys my dogs destroys).
Kate is more than a seamstress, she's intelligent and funny with a helpful personality. I know I would enjoy working with her in any capacity.
Very knowledgeable and helpful tutor. She was able to take me step by step through my calculus problems making it easier to understand. I would highly recommend her to anyone needing help.
