"Patient, Knowledgeable and Fun Tutor"
I am a native San Franciscan with an outgoing personality. I love helping others and seeing them progress in their chosen studies.
My degrees are multidimensional allowing me to tutor in several areas. I obtained a BA in French from UC Davis in only three years. I have general teaching credential which allows me to teach a myriad of subjects. Additionally, I have a Masters in counseling. The counseling experience gives me the ability to understand the needs of the student.

Doreen takes her job very seriously. She is a very well-rounded tutor, the best one I have ever had. I needed to write an essay that was worth 50% of my grade and the instructor was a very hard grader so I asked Doreen for help. I sent her all the class notes, she read them all, and then I gave her a sloppy copy of my essay and she helped organize all my thoughts and helped me clean up my paper.
I ended up getting an 'A' on the essay and the instructor said he enjoyed reading it. Doreen is the best because she learned all my class materials and helped me organize it all into the essay. Doreen also helped teach me self-discipline and time-management, which she did not have to, but she cares. So, she is willing to go above and beyond to help anyone. She is great at what she does.

"Sessions Geared to Individual's Motivation and Learning Style"
The most important skill anyone can acquire, and the one almost ignored by most institutes of learning, is how to learn. Some emphasize the old-fashioned “drill and kill†methodology while others latch on to every sort of new trend or fashionable system. In trying to reinvent the wheel or build a better mousetrap, they forget about that simple, universal, and time-tested concept: How to learn!
Everyone learns in a different way and responds to unique motivators. Whether you want to learn c... ... More

I didn't attend the session personally, but my son came back and said Greg was great. He'll be our regular tutor through the completion of high school. Thanks Greg.

I had Jim tutor me for the GRE and I honestly cannot say enough great things about him. Not only is he incredibly knowledgeable, but also very encouraging. If you decide schedule a tutoring session with Jim, I promise that you will not regret it!
