"I make language learning fun and easy."
I have always loved language. In high school I studied French. I then studied German with my husband at Berlitz Language School, where I eventually began teaching English. To complete my undergraduate degree, I needed to take two semesters of a foreign language, and as I thought at the time that I was going to be a social worker, I took Spanish. I fell in love with the language. I have since taught French to middle schoolers, Spanish to all ages, and operated the Language Listening Lab i... ... More

"Part-time librarian, part-time tutor, full time learner."
While studying as an undergraduate at Ithaca College, where I earned two degrees in writing and in political science, I spent two years as a writing tutor, helping students at the college level at all steps of the writing process. I love what I do and I know that I'm good at it, based on dozens of client evaluations (which I have saved and archived!). I'm very proud of my ability to meet students where they are and help them better understand themselves as writers, and therefore as learners a... ... More

I was a journalist in radio for 25-years. I'm currently writing novels and narrating!
Writing for the public, on deadline, was great training for a career as a writer. I'm an author and audiobook narrator, and run a music production studio. Michael has done an excellent job. It is not easy to start from zero in English - one of them has a stutter problem - and move our boys to a point where they start to talk English. Especially if the boys prefer to play soccer outside. Michael did a good job and kept their focus on learning. Thanks Michael!

Pam is great. After 2 sessions, my son told me how much he enjoyed working with her. It's not easy for kids to be tutored in the summer, Pam has a wonderful approach and style. Thanks Pam!

"I love to teach, and have others love to learn!"
I am certified in Special Education, trained in IDEA, 504 and RTI (response to intervention) and have more than 20 years of teaching students with ADD, ADHD, those who have behavior disorders and are emotionally disturbed. I provide counseling to parents/advocates, have written many IEP's and 504s.
I do my best to make any suggestions, goals understandable and user friendly. It is not unusual for me to speak with a student, parent/guardian on the phone to help them work through a situation or meet on a weekend to discuss ideas when they feel they are at a crossroad. ... More

Ms.Donna C. helped me so much with my chemistry class. She helped me cover all my weak points, and helped me with my homework. I ended up getting an A in the class thanks to her.

Michael was eager and ready to help me at the last minute, just when I was drowning is a sea of Economics frustration. He is really easy to talk to and made the point to make sure I got what I needed from the session.
