"Help with math from elementary to high school."

I am currently a student enrolled at Collin College where I will graduate in the Spring of 2016 with an Associate's Degree in Science; Collin also offers a Biotechnology certificate program which I am working towards completing as well. I have background in computer programming from which I worked in the industry for 5 years prior to becoming a stay at home dad. Once my little one went off to school, I decided to do the same to pursue a different career where I have consistently held a 4.0 ... ... More

We have never hired a tutor before and WyzAnt has made it very easy. We were lucky to find Richard. Our initial evaluation meeting went very smooth. After speaking with Richard, we had no concerns about his ability to get our son caught up and on the right track to start his high school career. Richard comes to each session well prepared and works with our son not only on pre-algebra but also on his study habits and being organized. Richard has been flexible with scheduling tutoring sessions and has open communication after each session with us, so we know how our son is progressing. I feel confident that my son will be on level with his algebra and will be more confident in his self as he starts his freshman year of high school. We feel very fortunate to have Richard as a tutor and would recommend him to others.

Teaching is my passion, and my time as a teacher has been a beautiful, emotional, and fulfilling experience. Sometimes all that's needed is a little personalized attention. I'm a patient and Dedicated Teacher, I explain the concepts in a way and at a pace that fit my students learning needs which helps build up their confidence so they could get back to enjoying math class. Atsuko M. made a great first impression on my daughter and myself. She worked with my daughter to find out the best way to teach her Japanese and listened to her requests on how she would like to proceed. Atsuko was on time and very friendly and my daughter felt comfortable with her. We have set a tentative date for the second lesson and we are looking forward to that date.

Howdy eh! As a child, I moved extensively among the United States, Mexico and Costa Rica. I believe it was during that period of my life that I developed a desire to help people reach their destination. Many folks/relatives helped our family during our travels. After taking a job as an Arthur Ashe-National Junior Tennis League instructor for the city of Carrollton and in conjunction with with my love for the sciences it was then that I began my training and education as a high school science... ... Abigail came prepared with material that enabled my daughter to revisit core principles that she sorely needed to review, before attempting the course material. She left her with work to do while on vacation in NY and told her to call her with any questions before they meet again. I am very pleased!

"Engaging, Caring, and Patient tutor willing to help."

Hello, my name is Abigail, I am a very outgoing person and I enjoy helping others. For anyone who might think math is really difficult, I'm sure I can help! Math is about learning the basics, once you grasp those concepts, you are on your way to an A. My approach to teaching, is simply providing what is lacking, what do I mean by that? Many times in mathematics, one is lacking the fundamentals to solving the problem, it isn't necessarily that the problem is difficult per say. Not understan... ... More
