First of all, what an insightful man. His knowledge of history and everything beyond the facts was close to inspirational. Jumping right into what I needed to know was what he did, along with everything you would want more from a tutor. He explained everything in great detail along with the intertwining of how it really impacted history. His immense knowledge and patience with me was more than I was expecting. Great person, you can just tell by meeting him once. Great guy, I highly recommend him.

"My goal is to make sure you understand everything you are learning!"
I have worked with a variety of accounting methods and procedures. This can include managing income statements and/or calculating cost of goods sold. Using the proper formulas is essential to effectively teaching the course and making it understandable to students.
Up until only recently the Practice Set was the tool most often referred to in helping students with accounting principles. Today, without the Practice set a student must rely on their ability to handle individual concepts and memorized formulas. That is even more difficult and is why effective tutoring is the key. ... P - Plan how you are going to solve the problem
S - Solve the problem
Check - Check your solution, particularly for reasonableness
I believe in giving the students the background so that they can understand how and why certain solution methods work. This... ... More

"Patient and Understanding Former High School Math Teacher"
My background in statistics began in the 1990s when I wrote two articles on how statistics should be used in my field of process control of ion implantation in the semiconductor manufacturing industry. These were published in international industry conference proceedings.
That interested me enough to create and teach a one-day adult short course in statistics. I was fortunate enough to teach this course all over the U.S. via the American Vacuum Society for five years. Students included technicians, engineers, other industry professionals, and one statistics professor.
I then taught Advanced ... More
