I am really happy to study English with Thomas. He knows how to teach and how to explain what I am confused. Thomas is so kind, friendly and ardent that everyone who meets him will like him. I hope I can learn English from Thomas as long as possible. I regret I didn't begin to study with him earlier. Thomas is a great teacher.

My name is Thomas, and I have been teaching French and English as a Second Language for about 20 years. I love languages, and I have always said, "if there is a job that I do better in my life, that job is teaching." I am really gifted with languages; I am patient, helpful and detail-oriented. I began teaching English and French in the Democratic Republic of the Congo when I was 18 years old. I taught in schools of languages where people learned how to speak English and French. I’ll begin by telling you about my professional background. I have been a registered nurse, BSN for over 20 years graduating from Fitchburg State College. My clinical experience began as a medical-surgical nurse in a small community hospital.
Shortly after graduation I was recruited by one of my former instructors to teach a clinical medical assisting course offered through the adult education program at Middlesex Community College, in Bedford. My evaluations were excellent. A... ... More
"Tutoring in Computer Applications, Business Topics and Writing"
I have spent the last 20 years in the field of education, training and development. I have managed training programs, conducted over 1000 training sessions and taught over 200 undergrad and grad college courses (many were obviously repeats). I teach three types of courses: management, marketing and computer related. The most unusual place I ever taught was in a prison. In addition, I have an active role in both marketing my consulting services and in helping my clients as needed.

My 7 year old son has worked with Jennifer for six months. Despite being bright, he couldn't master phonemic awareness and phonics through his instruction at school alone. He felt stupid and avoided books at all costs. Now he has begun to read proudly and states that 'Journal Time' is his favorite activity at school. He walks down the hallway with his nose buried in a book!
What helped immeasurably was Jennifer T's ability to pinpoint instruction to his exact level. She scaffolded lessons so that he was always successful and encouraged him to stretch to the next level. She provides him with games, activities, physical touch cues and even dance moves to help him master phonemic awareness! He has so much fun, he wants to go to tutoring (and this is a very active little boy!). She has provided me with resources to better my own understanding and consistently provides us activities and materials to help us at home.
I am an educator myself and felt helpless that I could not help my own child learn to read. We needed an expert and feel blessed we found one. Best of all, my son found not only a teacher but also a cheerleader and a friend.

John was a great tutor for my daughter and helped her prepare for the math SAT test. He accommodated her busy schedule and was flexible with her tutoring times. He was always prompt, polite, and easy to get in touch with. After having her take a diagnostic test before their first session, he quickly identified what she needed the most help with and focused the sessions on those areas. He was well prepared for the sessions and, in addition to working with her in person, he provided her with several handouts on time management, test taking skills, practice problems etc. My daughter and I highly recommend John as a tutor!
