First day was pretty good. Everything went well very and Astride was patient, I will admit to that. Then the second day we were supposed to meet at 10 a.m., but she was late. I waited 10 minutes but still no show. Then the third time we met for only 15 minutes, which was pointless. We also didn't get to the point of what I was actually trying to learn. Overall an, alright tutor.

Thank you for wanting to do better in school.
I have been happily tutoring for almost 6 years and generally teach elementary to high school. I am fluent in Spanish, in addition to it being my minor in college. My major was a Science - based one, so I teach mostly Science, Spanish, and Math. Because not everybody is the same, I like tailoring the learning interaction to the learning style of my student.
Having been a coach to kids in school, I have a love for inspiring. Patience is key... ... More

It was extremely difficult to find a tutor for the level of math I am currently taking which includes multivariate calculus and optimization. Matt, however, is great at explaining these tougher concepts, as well as, linking them to more simple ones. Without Matt, I would be incapable of reinforcing what I learn in class and I plan on continuing to use his help to this end. Anyone feeling hopeless trying to search for a college level math tutor? Your search ends here!

I'd like to become certified in accounting. I feel like much of the accounting seen in business courses is managerial or financial accounting, which is more finance than accounting, in my opinion. Ive passed the 3 levels of the CFA exam, of which a large part of each is financial statement analysis.
The areas of accounting that are not a part of traditional finance, or the CFA program, would be more on the tax/estate/putting together an accounting journal/etc side of things. I have no interest in tutoring in them anyway. But for the financial and managerial accounting, which are grouped on t ... More

My name is Katie! I graduated from Roger Williams University in 2016 with a Bachelors of Science in Finance and a core concentration in International Studies. I currently work in Business Development for an Insurance Agency and I love it! I was previously a Financial Advisor and really enjoyed the aspect of that position where I was able to help people which lead me to my desire to be a tutor on the side.
The position I'm currently in is a healthy mix of Marketing and back-end Finance. Al... ... More
We brought our 4 year old to Italian lessons with Thomas. He did a wonderful job preparing our son for Italian preschool for when we move overseas. Our son learned letters, numbers, colors, and conversation skills in fun and interactive ways. Even my husband was able to pick up a lot in a short period of time! Our son loved visiting with Thomas and would talk about him during the week. We highly recommend Thomas as an instructor and we will miss him while in Italy!
Mr. Thomas was very patient in gathering detailed information to find out what my needs are. I was able to gain a lot of information in our first meeting. I highly recommend him.
Kara works well with our daughter, managing her to keep her on track and focus on the items that are important. Homework is good and needed for our daughter to excel on her SAT tests.
