Isaak is not only a great content-tutor, he also possesses a professional demeanor that helps instill our sense of confidence in him. I think he's a good influence on our son's scholarship, study methods.

"H.S.College (Math, Physics,Electronics,Engineering,etc.) Tutor"
I strive to provide tutoring with a patient, courteous and professional demeanor. I encourage students to develop their knowledge and to take a step back and look at how much they have already learned. I would say working with students who transform in the course of a few short weeks from feeling intimidated and helpless to empowered and capable has been the most rewarding aspect of this job -- my favorite activity. As an inquisitive, creative person and a lifelong learner, another favorite... ... More

As a lifelong reader and writer, I have loved working with students of all ages in one-on-one capacities, as a high school English teacher, and as a current university English professor. I graduated from Allegheny College magna cum laude with a degree in English and an award for writing the best senior thesis in the English department. At the University of Pittsburgh, I graduated with a 4.0 and a M.Ed. in secondary education English.
Though I am taking my talents in close reading, writing, ... ... More

Alisa is an extremely proficient tutor of Russian who not only understands the Russian language as it compares to English but also the art of how to get her students to grasp the knowledge that she is giving them. Her sessions are very demanding and can be difficult, but the time spent with her is always guaranteed to be quality time. Alisa is a tough teacher with high standards, and she will relentlessly pound information into your head. Sometimes I left after a two hour session feeling as if I had been hit by a train, but because of it I picked up on Russian extremely quickly, and now after learning Russian for less than a year I can hold a decent conversation at a dinner table. Many Russians that I have spoken to have been very impressed with both my proficiency and accent, and have even told me that i currently speak with better grammar than some other Russians they know.
Alisa not only helped me to understand Russian language and culture, but also helped me to fall in love with their cuisine. She makes an excellent Borsch, and will not tolerate you leaving her sessions hungry.
You are guaranteed to leave her with a full mind and a full stomach.

All I can say is, "Wow". Prior to Mike, I used two other tutors to little avail. Somehow he can take these concepts in accounting, finance, and economics and not only make them make sense, but actually interesting. Cheers to this guy!
