Very few people can teach more then one subject well. But Diane is just as capable at teaching math, as she is teaching History. Although It has only been the first 3 weeks of my tutoring with Diane I have improved greatly in both sections.

"Trained by the 2 largest tutoring companies in the US. SAT too!"
There is nothing that excites me more than watching a student's face light up from learning. My goal when I teach is to help a student achieve their potential by working on their confidence and motivation. I love to learn and I love working with students and the two together are a marriage made in heaven.
After college, I spent many years teaching in public schools and then moved on to teach statistics and system development in corporate America. After retiring from corporate America, I r... ... More

Luis has been, for me, one of the greatest writing teachers of my entire scholastic career. Writing was always a difficult topic for me to fully grasp because it is not a fact subject. By that, I simply mean that two different teachers with the same paper may grade it completely different. Luis, taught me a way to write, that teaches the core fundamentals of writing while still keeping my unique style.
Not only does he teach exceptionally well but he has never wasted a moment of any of our time together. I can honestly say he is one of the few teachers that wont try to take up time just to get to the end of a class. this means, if we finish our session early not only will he leave at that time, but he only charges for the time we spent together learning. Because of his teachings not only will I score much higher on the S.A.T writing portion of the test but I will be a much better writer throughout my life.

"Academic Prose / College Composition"
My interest in working as an academic tutor began after earning an A grade on the first expository essay I wrote as a college freshman. Over ten years later, I submitted an economic research report as a continuing education student. That report reawakened a proclivity for academic prose. From that point on, I pursued all writing roles either as the mentor or as the author. My first tutoring responsibility materialized in the fall of 2009 when I accepted an assignment to tutor freshman Eng... ... Before leaving for a trip to France, I wanted to become more comfortable with my speaking skills. Martine is the perfect instructor. She explains the many rules and exceptions to the rules in a clear manner. She is most encouraging and kind and I truly enjoyed our sessions.

My daughter takes honors physics and is struggling even though she is really good in math and did very well with other AP science courses. We tried a handful of tutors and none were a good match for her. Dan proved to be the tutor that she really could relate to. Dan corresponded prior to the lessons with us to get the syllabus and detailed information on what was being covered in class and came fully prepared. He explained concepts thoroughly and very patiently and had her solve a variety of problems to ensure she had grasped them well. I would highly recommend Daniel to anyone who is looking for a tutor that can tailor his work to your needs and is patient and very knowledgeable.

We highly recommend Simon. Simon worked with our older son to prepare for the GMAT. As a result of Simon's help, our son's GMAT score was so high he was awarded a 75% tuition scholarship toward his MS in Accounting. We are so satisfied with Simon, our High School son is working with Simon to prepare for the PSAT.

"Patient, Effective Math Tutor for Algebra, Geometry, SAT and ACT, GREs"
I have been tutoring on a part-time basis for years and am very proud that 3 of my students achieved perfect math scores on their SAT. I start by explaining how to prepare for the test, review the math concepts and time management, and explain substitution techniques to make complex problems easy. One of the best compliments that I have received was that I made math fun, understandable and enjoyable. Bottom line is that I build math confidence and improve math scores.
