We had Michael as my son's math tutor for almost 6 months now. My son is in his sophomore year in high school. He has been struggling with math and his math grade has been gradually declined. After few sessions with Michael, my son’s math grade started to come back up. As the school end, he had a grade A on math. Michael is always on time, never miss a session. We are very happy with him and will have him again after summer.

Hi Rebecca helped our daughter Kate with PreCal. Kate's teacher didn't really teach the subject so she needed someone to help fill in the many gaps. Rebecca was always prepared in advance for the lessons, patient, and very good at explaining the various concepts and formulas. Kate has had several other tutors in PreCal, I would say if you need a PreCal tutor, contact Rebecca!

Mike was a wonderful tutor very invested in making sure I understood the concepts and did well in the class. Mike often stayed late and was very flexible with the timings of tutoring. He brought enthusiasm and patience to the sessions and made a great effort to help me learn new and challenging material. I highly recommend him as a tutor.

"OCHEM struggles, I'm your man! PhD from Caltech"
I have a B.S. in Chemistry from Cal Poly (SLO), and a Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry from the California Institute of Technology (Caltech, Pasadena). I currently work for a startup pharmaceutical company making organic molecules that are tested against several central nervous system (CNS) diseases.
To understand and master Organic Chemistry, it is not about memorization, it's about understanding fundamental properties of atoms, which allows one to then understand why some species react one way... ... More

I hired Jeffrey to tutor my daughter in Physics and I feel fortunate to have found him. I find Jeffrey to be personable, patient, softspoken (in a good way) and really wants my daughter to "get it." Though we have only had 3 sessions so far, my daughter tells me that she likes him (and I think it is very important that the tutee likes the tutor!), that she feels very comfortable saying she still wasn't understanding the problem and more than once, and that he is very patient. Jeffrey goes over the physics problem(s) several times showing my daughter how to do it and then making sure she can illustrate the same work/process in a similar problem. My daughter tells me that the repetition of her doing the problem with him has helped her to be more confident in the subject because she is understanding it better by doing it. Sometimes I wish we had an hour and a half with him, which can likely be scheduled, because that little bit of extra time would perhaps make for an even more thorough lesson. After every lesson, Jeffrey emails me a paragraph summary of what they went though with some helpful reminders for my daughter from the lesson. I forward them all to her so she can keep them and refer back to them. After our last session, Jeffrey also emailed us an additional physics problem for her to work on, with explanations and rationale and his openness for her tom call him to discuss the problem on the phone or to save the discussion for the next session. I would highly recommend Jeffrey if your child needs a tutor in physics or another area he specializes in; I think you will find that he truly is all that I describe above. As a side note, he is ontime and responds to emails quickly.

"Effective Ph.D. Tutor of Mathematics and Physics"
Elementary math is a fabulous opportunity to lay down a firm foundation for more advanced mathematics. Indeed, much of my time teaching advanced math is remedial work concerning concepts that students should have gotten in elementary math, such as how to do arithmetic with fractions, which operations permit the distributive property (and which don't!), etc. ...
