In considering the credentials of a tutor, intelligence and knowledge of content material is foremost. As a High School and College Scholar, I participated in many honors courses. I graduated Magma Cum Laud with a Bachelor's of Arts in Anthropology. I've also earned a 4.0 on all my college work done post graduation as needed for my continuing education and to maintain my teaching certificate. However, knowledge has to be paired with an ability to teach. I am well skill... ... More

Brandon reviewed my essay, marked grammar mistakes, and made suggestions that I may want to consider. He put things in a very easy format to understand and follow.

I enjoy teaching people who are interested in a subject matter and want to learn more. It's a great feeling to be able to make my knowledge of use to other people and to get them interested in learning more about our crazy interesting world. I prefer tutoring in the natural sciences, but I've gone through the rigmarole of math classes and standardized tests necessary to be a science major. I have very broad interests though and took a diverse set of courses at my liberal arts undergrad. So... ... More

J.R.S is an excellent tutor. My son had tried his Chemistry teacher and one other tutor and he still was having a difficult time. As soon as J.R.S started tutoring my son his grades improved immediately. My son received a 50 out of 50 on a test. My son who seemed defeated by chemistry quickly gained confidence because of J.R.S.teaching methods. He passed the class and remained eligible for the honor's diploma program at his school. J.R.S taught my son in a method that was easily understood and my son grasp the concepts right away. J.R.S was very organized, well prepared, and made the material easy for my son to understand. J.R.S asked for the materials ahead of time so that he could prepare his lesson with my son. J.R.S. made himself available to work with my son th help prepare for test, quizzes, and finals. J.R.S. knowledge and experience as a Professor made a big difference in his teaching methods. I highly recommend J.R.S. and will use him in the future with my other children if needed. I cannot say enough about J.R.S. and his excellent skills as a tutor.

Michael was pleasant and relatable. His commitment to education is apparent. Our son, who does not like to study, took to Michael and was engaged throughout the lesson. Michael truly "got" and understood where our son was (in terms of math level) and began from there. We are certain that this would be both beneficial and rewarding for our son. The process of finding Michael was met with ease. The profiles available allowed us to choose the person we felt would be best suited for our needs. Our first impression was that he is perfect for our son. Michael did not disappoint. He was truly who he said he was in his profile. The feedback via the website was appreciated and managed well.

Hello and thank you for visiting my profile. My two passions in life are learning and teaching. To me, there is nothing better than seeing a person's face light up as they suddenly understand a concept that once seemed impossible. People learn at different rates and process information differently. My goal is to discover a student's unique needs, and to present the material in an informative and engaging way.
