"PhD keeping it simple Statistics, Math, Anatomy and Physiology"
While working as a research assistant at University of Miami, one of my main functions was to program all statistical analyses for the laboratory using SAS programs. In addition to work for the lab, much statistics were performed in conjunction with various physician's, i.e. Diabetes Research Institute at Jackson Memorial Hospital. Statistical design and programming was also done for doctoral candidates dissertation. As my area of study was exercise physiology, all statistics were based on physiological functions as well as risk factor assessment and anthropometric measurements. I have also co ... More

I'm a current faculty member at a 4year institution. While I'm new to private tutoring, I have extensive teaching experience, and have received superior evaluations from both my students and supervisors. I've taught many students in a oneonone setting, which I immensely enjoy and find rewarding. My background is in sports medicine. I'm currently finishing up my PhD in biomechanics and statistics.

Tutor and I met early in the morning. He was able to help me understand the foundation of the assignment. He was very patient and took time to learn my background in the class what I was looking to get out of the session. I'll definitely be using him again In my future masters level courses.

"All aspects of Biology, ACT/ SAT/ GED/ GRE Prep., Math., Biostatistics"
As a former volunteer tutor at Springfield High School (as well as area junior high schools), I am conversant with the coursework structure and standardized assessment of Illinois (high) school students; and have firmly established that which I master the art of conveyance in, and (most importantly) that which I don't. Thusly, the student's time is assured to not be wasted due to unfamiliarity with actual, regional scholastic norms.
As a research projects mentor for many high school, u... ... More

Colleen knows her material well. She comes well prepared to teach and does not waste any time. She is very patient and makes you feel comfortable when asking questions. She explains information in details, which helps me learn, instead of memorizing things. Thank you Colleen. You are exactly what I was looking for in a tutor!

Algebra I provides students with skills that will last a lifetime. It involves learning how to solve complex multiplication, division, addition, subtraction and other operations. It also introduces you to mathematical equations that involve variables (letters that stand for an unknown number). It also provides you with the basic rules of all of the operations. Once you learn the rules, you will have no problem solving most algebraic problems. It is my job to make Algebra I fun and enjoyable. I have succeeded in doing so for several students and I hope to continue doing so. ... More

As a tutor, I have helped many students improve their organizational and study habits. During sessions we work on organization and time management, including assignment and grade tracking, organization of papers, binders and personal study area, study planning and goal setting. In addition we work on notetaking skills, covering everything from listening well and following directions, to managing, presenting, and organizing information. I have also worked on reading and studying skills including making use of notes effectively, handling textbooks, reading strategies across school subjects, res ... More

"Math and Science, prealgebra through college. AP specialist."
In addition to a classroom perspective, and previous experience tutoring statistics to health sciences students, I was a professional neuroscience researcher for several years. So I've seen and done all sorts of statistics in the course of data analysis. (Note: mostly I was writing my own code in Matlab, but I'm also familiar with the SAS statistics software that's used in many Biostatistics courses). Actually, the data analysis was the part of that job that I liked best.

I'm currently studying for the ASVAB and Leah's military background and experience with the test has proven invaluable to further my progress towards joining the military. An excellent communicator and very easy to get along with.

Carlyle analyzed the mistakes I had in my previous test and help me to think about how avoid these to happen again and tips to deal with these questions. Very helpful.

I HIGHLY recommend Jessica. I felt scattered with an outline and rough draft for a college paper, & she really helped me better clarify & organize my information. Also sent me an email with useful feedback afterwards. You won't be disappointed hiring her!

Alex has been fantastic. In the short time he has been working with him, my son's grades are improving as is his confidence in math. My son looks forward to his time with Alex, which is so important. We are super happy with Alex and would highly recommend him.
