"Improve your reading skills with me! "
Greetings!! Just a bit of honest information about me... I am new to instructing. I am currently a substitute teacher in the Charles County School District and I have assisted with several subjects. The one that I most enjoy is helping children learn to read or improve their reading skills. I have enjoyed the small class settings, which is why I believe that I would enjoy tutoring in this area as well. Although I do not have a teacher's license, I feel that I am very effective in my skill... ... More
I really need to tell you about Ms. Darees because she really is something special. My son is studying geometry. Ms. Darees evaluated him and discovered the underlying problem was a weakness in algebra, she helped him strengthened those skills which allowed him to understand the geometry lesson. She even gave him homework to do so that they could go over on their next visit. I'm lovin it!
Fast forward several weeks after tutoring with Ms. Darees. My son went from Geometry scores of 28% to 95%. When I tell you Ms. Darees is someone very special BELIEVE IT!! She really cares and takes time encouraging and guiding the student until they can do it on their own. Parents, I know you will get this metaphor, it literally reminded me of when I was a little girl and my dad was teaching me to ride a bike holding the back and handle bars running along side me until I was able to balance it and ride by myself. I really love her.

I am currently teaching 7th and 8th grade Math at a Charter school in the D... ... More

""Level-Ten Potential"- Math and Science tutor"
Tutoring to the "Level-Ten Potential"! I am a medical student completing my last year of Medical School. I am an advocate of education. Throughout the last decade, education has politically been falling down the list of priorities, due to financial constraints, as well as other reasons that have been letting our children's education fall by the wayside. I have been a tutor throughout my life at various levels of education, in multiple areas of learning.
I have a Master of Public Health... ... More
