During the two lessons I had with Kyle, I learned more than I did in a month of school. It really amazed me on how much he can teach in two hours. If you need a good tutor, Kyle is the guy to see. It's definitely worth every penny.

"Motivational tutoring in Science and Math"
I encourage my students to become independent learners. Although I am confident in my ability to break down scientific concepts and principles, my goal is to guide the student through the lesson plan and develop crucial study skills, while resorting to explanations to avoid hindering the flow of the lesson. Unfortunately, most students who request tutoring in math and science have lost confidence in themselves from the shortcomings of the educational system. It is important for me to pract... ... More

Ben was really patient and encouraging. He was willing to tackle my entire chemistry study guide with me and patiently re-explained concepts I was confused about. He was also great at comparing chemistry concepts to everyday situations so I would understand better. He's a great tutor and I feel so much more confident about my Chemistry final coming up! Thanks Ben!

I have been working with Mike on various Math subjects that will be covered on the WEST E exam. He has a very fluid mind and is capable of switching gears to diversify and teach different math subjects and to see the inter-relatedness of math concepts. He is the ideal tutor for me, being very patient, adaptable and capable of understanding and explaining various types of math problems. I also enjoy our time working together and feel that our time is well spent. I highly recommend him as a tutor, and feel lucky to have his help.

"Mike, Tutor for Math (Algebra to Calculus) and most Sciences"
Tutored for Olympic College. Started with Organic Chemistry and expanded to include Algebra through Calculus and most of the sciences. I was well liked by most of my students and was asked by them to help with other subjects (such as English or Music) that I had to decline.
Mostly my working premise is that the student can learn the material. It is up to me to find a way of presentation that works with the student's background. I use the Socratic method a lot, asking the student questions... ... More

"Math, Science, and Grammar Nerd"
Hi there! My name is Aaron and I graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry and a Master's in Business Administration. Early on in high school and college, I learned the value of mastering difficult subjects by seeking out help from others. Math and science didn't always come easy to me, so I had to reach out to others in order to comprehend difficult concepts. Once I understood a difficult concept, I felt a sense of accomplishment that I wanted to help others feel.
During my college ... ... More

I contacted Amal about two weeks before my GRE exam, as I was worried about my performance on the math sections. She replied to my email right away and was readily available to tutor me. Amal was very patient and understanding. She effectively taught me the methods and concepts I needed to know. I am happy to say that I passed my GRE exam on the first attempt, thanks greatly to Amal!

Before today, I had *never* played a woodwind instrument. Yet, within 5 minutes (after Silvio explained the different kinds of clarinets and how to properly put it together), I was playing G, F, E, D and C. He is very encouraging and has a gift for helping a student realize what to do differently to get the right sound. I left after the lesson (and note that he is liberal with his time and not a clock-watcher) and felt confident in being able to do my practice homework.
I will be seeing a lot of Silvio on my quest to learn the clarinet to an intermediate level (not looking to become a professional). Thank you Silvio! A+.

Zachary worked with my son to improve his critical Reading SAT score. He planned lessons that addressed his individual needs and got him involved in the learning process. My son felt that he was more confident going into the SAT and performed much better than his previous try.
