Katherine is a wonderful teacher and she helped us a lot. Our goal was to improve the fluency of our speech and Katherine was very creative and persistent in finding various ways to develop our conversation skills. She is very patient with the student so you always feel comfortable and confident at her classes. We definitely recommend Katherine to anybody who would like to make a significant and fast progress in English and to get much better in everyday conversation.

I have been working with Mike on various Math subjects that will be covered on the WEST E exam. He has a very fluid mind and is capable of switching gears to diversify and teach different math subjects and to see the inter-relatedness of math concepts. He is the ideal tutor for me, being very patient, adaptable and capable of understanding and explaining various types of math problems. I also enjoy our time working together and feel that our time is well spent. I highly recommend him as a tutor, and feel lucky to have his help.

"Mike, Tutor for Math (Algebra to Calculus) and most Sciences"

Tutored for Olympic College. Started with Organic Chemistry and expanded to include Algebra through Calculus and most of the sciences. I was well liked by most of my students and was asked by them to help with other subjects (such as English or Music) that I had to decline. Mostly my working premise is that the student can learn the material. It is up to me to find a way of presentation that works with the student's background. I use the Socratic method a lot, asking the student questions... ... More

I was born in Lima, Peru to American parents studying there. We later moved to Geneva, Switzerland where I was enrolled in a small village school, learning French. I have an extensive teaching/tutoring background in both Spanish and French. I taught Conversational Spanish at Olympic College, Bremerton, WA, for 10 years. I was also a Spanish and French Tutor there previously. I was able to put myself through college by tutoring these subjects and assisting in the Foreign Language Department... ... More

I have been a student of Lindsey's for the past year, through continuing ed digital photography classes at UTA she has instructed and through Wyzant tutoring. I highly recommend Lindsey for assistance with general photography topics, software and hardware issues and specific photography equipment instruction and techniques. She is very patient and takes the time to explain things to ensure you understand and gives advice and hints and suggestions and critiques constructively. She really knows her stuff! She is very accommodating and flexible. She is easy to get in touch with and is very professional and timely in replying to inquiries. She is a pro who isn't stingy with her expertise, knowledge or time, and I appreciate that very much in an instructor/tutor. Call her! You won't regret it.

"Learn Photography from a Professional"

Illustrator is for graphics. It's for designing simple logos, creating small promotional items, and laying out a postcard or business card. I use Illustrator whenever possible. I find it to be the easiest of the Adobe programs to use and navigate, as well as learn. In most cases Illustrator can get the job done, get it done well and with ease, which is important in all industries. I will not lie, there are times when Photoshop or InDesign will be needed, but if you're looking for a program that does most of your design needs, then Illustrator is the one. I personally use it for screen printing ... More

(Skype lessons okay) I have taught English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) for over twenty years, in language school and university, in Japan and Seattle. I have a master’s degree in TESOL from Temple University Japan. Recently, I have taught in one-on-one settings in Seattle. My lessons are based on student’s needs, so I consult with them (at no cost) before starting on a program. Recently, I have given instruction in pronunciation, grammar, and composition. Just met Jim, and he is full of information about Japanese and Japan. My current goal is to get comfortable with particles and learn more verbs -- pretty basic stuff. I want to pass the N4 JLPT test in a year, although am pretty confident I will be able to pass N3 by that time. I believe Jim can help me in this process and give me delightful insight into Japan and its history along the way.
