"Ivy League Grad Specializing in Chemistry, Statistics, and Economics"

My lifelong love of learning inspires my passion for tutoring. I enjoy the intellectual challenge of explaining difficult material or expressing concepts in multiple ways, but I enjoy the satisfaction of seeing a student finally grasp a concept with which they struggled even more. At Dartmouth, I studied biological chemistry and economics. My coursework included advanced classes in chemistry and economic theory as well as empirical research in economics. This gives me a strong foundation in t... ... More

I'm a very passionate educator and academic. Currently, I'm in process of obtaining teacher licensure, and will be fully licensed in December. I student teach at a Middle and HS. It's a very exciting time in my life! My academic background goes beyond specific pedagogy, though. I have a very strong background in all aspects of English, writing, literature, tutoring, and argumentation. Recently I returned to college after serving in the military and enrolled in French class as I had taken two years of French in high school and have strong personal and professional desire to learn a language of my choice. Once I fell behind in my 2nd semester French class I contacted a native French tutor who wasn’t able to help me to the level required. After extensively researching the available French tutors on WyzAnt I choose Geraldine and it was the best decision I have ever made a French student. Geraldine is a true professional tutor who is also a hard working genuine person. She caters to my level of French and learning style and has copious patience. I feel like I can ask Geraldine anything about French and the lessons aren’t work, but they are tough. Materials can be sent early to be reviewed in order for sessions prep and curriculum received for more general sessions. She is extremely intellectual, enthusiastic and flexible, and never makes you feel unintelligent. I don’t believe there is a better French Tutor out there and I am a better French student for choosing her.
Thanks for working with my grandson. I can already see an improvement with his reading and his confidence has improved.
Very patient. He tutors my daughter and her friend together. When one does not understand, Daniel is able to approach the problem from a different angle until both understand. This also permits both to learn how to solve a problem in numerous different ways. Daniel really knows math and is an excellent tutor.
