Since he is a professor anyway, in the area he teaches, that enhances your chances you are going to get something substantial out of the sessions.

I thoroughly enjoy tutoring, teaching and working with students. I am an adjunct professor at 2 community colleges. But much of what I do is teaching of some kind, whether it's teaching children how to write a song, teaching young adults basic math and job prep skills, or helping my son with his homework and teaching him guitar and piano. I have done all of these. In addition, I have had my own business as a computer software trainer. All students are adults or retirees.

"If someone explains it well, you can understand pretty much anything!"
I love technology, and I especially love getting other people to fall in love with it as well. For a good part of the year I have the pleasure of working as an Adjunct Professor at Norwalk Community College, where I teach computer-related topics. My students have awarded me with consistently high evaluations along with the tremendous satisfaction of seeing how much they learn so quickly.
When I am not teaching, I am helping people out as a computer consultant for my small firm named Tech Hel... ... More

"Microsoft Access/VBA and Systems Design tutor"
I have had the opportunity to tutor individuals of all skill levels in the use of Microsoft's Access, VBA (Visual Basic for Applications), Word, PowerPoint, and Excel for the past decade. During that time I have also been teaching project management, system design and systems development life cycle, and Microsoft Project to groups at the corporate level.

An inventor and musician since my youth, I studied math, music and computer science in college, which built a valuable foundation for my future. I have found that a blend of the Arts and Sciences - in my case, music and math, and computer science - gave me technical and conceptual skills one needs to be able to succeed in a wide range of opportunities in the world.
After graduating from Indiana University with a BA, Individualized Major Program in Music and Computer Science, my work exper... ... More
My son, Nick has struggled with algebra all year. It had gotten really bad so I reached out to WyzAnt and found Ty. From the first hour, I knew that Ty was a difference maker for my son. Nick was frustrated and easily irritable. He felt "stupid" and Ty has helped him learn. That is an invaluable gift when a kid thinks that he can't and someone helps him see that he can.... Nick not only has learned a lot from Ty, he enjoys learning from Ty. He told me after the 2nd session that "I really like him. He helps me so much. Time literally flies when he is teaching me." I will do my best to keep Ty around for the rest of my son's educational career! Ty is an exceptional man that has a ton to offer. HIGHLY recommend Ty.
He as been teaching Math and is very patient with a big heart. My son is always looking forward on Saturday to see him.
My son liked working with James, and we will continue using his service on possibly regular or on-demand schedule.
